The tale of those who TRIED

For decades
Families split and deprived
They kept grumbling in vain
"You either could see
The Sun set down or see
The Sun Rise over the plains"
But they never could stand up &
Gather enough courage
To fight or to complain

In the Capital of their minds
They had built a monstrous wall
It spread wide and tall
You couldn’t see the skies or
Hear voices from across

Then once when
The winter winds blew strong
Whispers of “Wir Wollen Rous”
Turned out into a war song
The oppressed hearts
No more shy
The enraged consciences
Finally obliged
To tear down the concrete blocks &
Discover brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers
Lost in the battles of a yesteryear war

People in long lasting denial
Finally reunite &
Bless those who had selflessly
Tried

Cinderella, The girl of the cinders
She was a poor exploited maid
Till one day she turned up
At the ball
With divine help and not being afraid
Of the rage of her sisters
And her step mom

Prince charming he kept dancing
Cinderella she couldn’t leave his arms
But she knew the spell would not stand
The clock on the tower
As it`d turn past the hour
Scampering home as she fell behind
She let pass
One of her slippers of glass

Prince charming under her spell
Kept on searchin
With no size ain`t fit in the relics
He finally arrived at the cinders
Cinderella she timidly tried
As her feet fit in with ease
The prince knew he met his lost bride

Cinderella it never ceased to miss her mind again
The times when she had fearlessly
Tried
