The girl who walked and the man who wrote

She stumbled on the sidewalk before she walked again
She looked in pain but she smiled back at me again
As she walked away I saw her limp

She had wandered across too far
Blindly following the stars
Before she had landed and was caught stranded
In a pit that blew up `n`
Swallowed her foot
She was left with crutches and
A life with limp
But
She kept striding away with steely grit.

I was mesmerized when I read
The piece he wrote
All I wanted then is to
Go to him `n` meet
When I was there
I put my hand forward to greet
All he had to offer me were
His empty sleeves
He calmed my guilt
“Son, I use my mind to write”
Then he showed me the finesse of his feet.

There are many , not less
More than what we can together guess
Who share the same kinda stars
Like the Girl that walked and The Man that wrote
AND
Living `neath the same Sun `n` Sky
That we often complain
Bless me Grace Me Teach Me
So I could Embrace What I got
Like the Girl that walked and The Man that wrote

(REACHING OUT FOR) CLUES

I stumbled upon a crossroad `n`
The sky had turned dead dark then
Those old paths came across as something new
`N` the street signs got me confused
My eyes turned blind and my brain turned numb
My footsteps kept looking out for
Clues
But the Night was in no mood to reveal

I was tempted to look back
I was tempted to return
I was ready to miss what was ahead
Till Tomorrow whispered silently in my ears
It was blessed by rebirth `n`
Everytime you`d think of the past
Yesterday ended up in tears
It was cursed to fade away

Then the northerly brushed on my feet
Yeah she too had something to say
"Hindsight never made any sense" she said
"It’s just a lifeless past tense
Makes you gather what you did wrong
before `n` feel bad about it today"

I was shivering allover
In the midnight blues
I never stood before in that kinda pain
I opened my arms to reach out
To the Night for clues
But it was all in vain
"We have no deal" she said
"So I have nothing to reveal"
I had to wait for dawn to break
Before I could find any
Clues
To surge ahead
